Yes the weekend has rolled around again, and so has 50L Friday. I was a bit disappointed with the offerings this week – particularly as two stores out of the 12 participating didn’t have their items out. Anyway I did pick up a few lovely things and here they are:
First up is this jacket with snood from *Kookie*. The hair is attached to the snood, and it comes with matching gloves (not worn)
This gorgeous feathery dress is from So Many Styles – the feathers are done beautfully. The hat with hair attached called “love letters” is from Clawtooth – one of two items out. The hat has a detachable bow (not shown) and both are colour change.
Finally, this lovely lingerie set is from *fishy strawberry* and comes with 26 pieces – bra, panties, corset, garter and two pairs of stockings – and everything on all layers. The detail is lovely, particularly the ribbon tie on the corset. The hair is “savannah” from Deviant Kitties. You get two colours in in the pack – this is toffee and the other is swedish – a white/blonde shade.

This beautifully drawn skin is Dinah in Fall – Radio from Tyranny Designs. I was lucky enough to snap this up on 50L Friday but if you missed out, Tyr has reduced this skin to 200L for a limited time. These skins normally retail at 950L, so that’s quite a bargain. You get two versions of the skin – the other has a cute bandage on the bridge of the nose. It is available in seven skin tones; this is “wheat” at the lighter end of the spectrum. It’s my favourite at the moment – go snap it up before 15th December. While you’re there, have a look around the store. Tyr is a great designer & there are some fab things to be found and often with a quirky or revealing twist!

Lemania Indigo must be one of the most prolific creators on the grid, and one of the most generous as well. I stopped in earlier to check out the wealth of hunt prizes and offers, and found this ensemble was one of the 100L specials today. It’s called “creature comforts” and is perfect for winter days. The boots are worth more than the sale price on their own! They are patent black with lace up sides – the textures are brilliant. You also get the embellished jeans, a creamy coloured boat-necked shirt, a lilac waistcoat with the same pattern as the jeans, and then the lovely snuggly cardigan. There are also a matching gloves and knitted hat in the box. This is a great bargain – run and snap it up before the end of the day.

Today is seemingly Black Friday – which sounds like a disaster to me, but apparently is a good thing in the US – the first day proper of Christmas shopping. To celebrate today’s 50L Friday is pretty massive – although it probably should have been called “hairy birdy Friday”! Anyway, here are just a few things I found today – click the 50L info sign in any of the participating stores to get a full list. I’m only crediting 50L items on this post – if there’s anything not credited you’re interested in, leave a comment & I’ll reply.

I found a new store today – Vanbeeck’s - and as luck would have it there is a 40% off sale until 6pm Sunday at the main store. I am modelling the “Serene Racer” outfit in blue [192L] comprising leather jacket & pants on all layers, with gloves, prim belt and boots. The detail is excellent and the textures have creases in the right places! Sorzun is modelling “Charles” [114L]- again nicely textured leather trousers (both layers) and a detailed shirt on the jacket layer.
This is the cute “cropped leather jacket” in red [54L] it comes on two layers and has good collar and button/buckle details, without resorting to prim parts. Sorzun is wearing the “old leather jacket” [104L] in military. This comes on the jacket layer only, but the accompanying black tank is provided on all layers.
As well as the Vanbeeck signature range, there are other designer brands here too, including PixelDolls male & female ranges. It’s good to see a store serving both genders with original quality styles – go check it out & take advange of the sale. Petr Vanbeek is an artist as well as creator – you can browse his next-door art gallery while you are there.

The fifth birthday celebrations at Simone & Style Starts Here are in full swing, and today is “red sale” day. This means all red items in the Style Starts Here sim are 75L and those in Simone are 150L. Both stores cater for men as well as women, so do go and check it out. My previous post focused on SSH, so this one will concentrate on some gorgeous gowns in the Simone store.
This stunning gem-studded dress is Jonquille in ruby and comes with three different skirt options, as well as gloves, panties and stockings. The gem detail is fabulous and the picture definitely doesn’t do it justice. The skirt above includes the train – below shows the full skirt, along with the details on the back & the top of the gloves. There is also a slim skirt included.
This creation is “inspired by!” in red/black. It can be worn with the plain system skirt – although the poofy one is so fabulous and moves so well, that you won’t want to. It also comes with co-ordinating gloves, stockings and panties.
This racy little number is “Janae sexy dancing dress” in wine – comes with gloves & stockings and the hip and shoulder flourishes are provided in both gold and silver.
These are just three of the hundreds of gorgeous gowns available in store – do go and explore both sims. Make a shopping list too as tomorrow is black day! Hurrah

Kalnins have just released another pair of fabulous shoes. These are called Dragoness and are completely customisable. They come with a really easy-to-use hud, and you can change the colour of practically everything – nails, skin, metals and three different parts of the shoes. They are at half price for a limited time at L$400. Kalnins run a reward system – the more you spend the bigger discount you get, so while I was there I treated myself to their colour-change cowboy boots that I’d been coveting for a while.
These are called Promenade and are resizeable and colour-change via a simple menu. There are 11 colours for the leather – including this great pink – and silver/gold metal options. You can also choose to have glow on the boots. These retail at L$750 – not too bad for almost a dozen pairs. However I saved 15% as I’d bought a couple of pairs from Kalnins before. Result!
The textures on both pairs are amazing – and they are really well made. There are lots of shoes for both genders and loads of other stuff – go check out the store. While you are there subscribe to the InfoChannel – it’s free and will inform you of new releases, as well as giving you discounts.
RL took over today – I did a quick whizz round 50L Friday but there wasn’t that much that took my fancy hence no post/pics. However I did discover that Simone/Style Starts Here are having a “black sale day” on Monday, so all black items in SSH will be 75L and 150L in Simone. Start saving….
Style Starts Here & Simone are celebrating an amazing five years in SL with lots of events and discounts. Everyday this week one particular colour is marked down to 75L. Today was pink – which I couldn’t resist – so I bought a few things! If pink’s not your thing, read on to find what other “colour days” are planned.
This “hippy micromini” in Lucy In The Sky is 75L today (Tuesday). It comes with the fishnets and everything is on lots of layers. This works really well as a top too, without the skirt parts.
Even new releases are reduced if they are the daily colour – so I couldn’t resist getting the pink version of the “sexy leather pants” that I blogged earlier this week. I am also wearing the “lacy knit sweater” in rose. Both 75L
I also bought “Holly” in pink which comes with so many parts you could make about three outfits from it. Totally cute and a complete bargain at 75L.
There are live music, quizzes, hunts etc going on this week, as well as the colour day sales. These will be: Wednesday – Emerald Green; Thursday – Lavender; Friday – Sky Blue; Saturday – Champagne. Remember to stop by and wish Simone a happy birthday.
Ghanima Uriza of +++Blue Blood+++ has just released a new dress called Asha. For the first time Ghanima has drawn a pattern on the dress, and it looks amazing. Hopefully you can see this in the pictures. Each dress costs 300L and comes with a shrug, corsets, stockings, gloves and two skirt colour options, one the main colour and the second in the main colour with black panels. As always the black dress is only available for group members to buy, and this time it comes with a white skirt and corset too. The group is only 50L to join and you get access to great discounts. A fatpack of this dress is available in all the colours, and group members get a 50% discount.
