Who Ate All The Pies?
DCNY are having a “bake sale” or pie hunt that finishes today (Saturday) at midnight SLT. There are 13 pies out around the store – 10 are for sale at 10L each and each contain a different outfit. There are also three free pies – pumpkin, strawberry & apple – yummy.This gorgeous skin is free in the apple pie, it’s called Lorelei Apricot 07. The jumper, belt & trousers are called “Denise” and can be found in one of the 10L pies. Simone Says!
Simone Stern of Style Starts Here (SSH) is running a little hunt across both her sims. You have to collect the six letters in her name from pumpkins scattered around the store and in return you get a folder stuffed full of goodies. There are loads more than I can include here and all excellent quality. Simone makes some fabulous things for both guys and girls so do look around the shop if you get a chance. Vignette & In Her Shoes
Rachel Boram – the creator of the best hallowe’en boots – has set everything in her two shops to L$0. Must be samhain madness but is fantastic news for us bargain hunters. She has two shops - Vignette which is hair and In Her Shoes which is footwear. Lots of different styles of both in multiple colours, all free! Here are just a couple of items I snagged earlier. In the picture above I am wearing purple Betty dots shoes & Izzy hair in Majestic black.
in this one I am wearing warm winter boots in red and Jaime hair in cherry.

Atomic
Just a quickie as this has been blogged to death, but Atomic are having a small hunt around their stores. There are 12 jack o’lanterns to find and they are easy to spot. You can get 3 fat packs of skins, 2 of hair, 2 of batwing tattoos (unisex), 3 of Ts (unisex) and 2 of tanks (also unisex). Word of warning – it’s popular so gets busy. To reduce lag remove as many prims & huds as you can – it will make moving easier & take less time for your graphics card to have to draw you. Reducing your draw distance will also help. It only took me about 20 mins to find all the pumpkins, so worth the effort….

Swimming Kitties
Hallowe’en hunts are still going strong on the grid. Another has just started on the Calico Kitty sim. There are 19 pumpkins to find (they are pretty easily spotted – they glow!) containing 19 hairs (by Calico Ingmann) and 3 skins from FUB. All the hair styles come in four different hallowe’en colourways. Calico Ingmann is one of my favourite hair designers so this was a lovely thing to stumble across. There are a couple of styles for the guys (although there’s nothing to stop them wearing the others….) The skins have lovely details including stomach tattoos. If you need any help finding the pumpkins, drop me an IM. All the pumpkins are in and around the CIC store on Calico Kitty.

DCNY & Blowpop
Dave Casanova @ DCNY has just released two hallowe’en dollarbies – this cute outfit I’m wearing (I love the pumpkin shaped skirt!) and the skin I’m wearing with it.
There are a number of other dollarbies available too – Geck is wearing this sweet green dress that we found there. She’s also sporting the latest group gift skin from Blowpop. This is a new creator to me and the skin is really well done with some lovely shading. The group gift (find it in notices) includes 4 different skin tones, each with two makeups.

Witch or Vampire?
Been meaning to blog this for ages! Sissy Pessoa at Baiastice has released a dress in store that can be used to dress up as either witch or vampire. Personally I think it’s too lovely to be kept just for trick or treating! As with all of Sissy’s work it is beautifully done. Additionally, the group notices for Baiastice include a package of vampire & witch skins, each with a choice of four brow colours, two pairs of eyes, hair and vampire fangs to compliment the dress. I am wearing the witch skin & eyes in this pic. The group is free to join, but you have to send Sissy a note to get added. The notice will expire on 26th, so get a wriggle on if you want all the extras!
The background moon & broom pose is a hallowe’en dollarbie from La Petite Morte – only available until the end of the month.

Hallowe’en furniture
Furniture, rather than clothes from me today… Concrete Flowers have just released their latest weekly dollarbies. One of them is this rather lovely hallowe’en table & chair set which I’m sitting at. Each chair has a different animated sit. The other is the stripey “gumby” jumper that Sorzun & I are both wearing. He is slouched in the Spooky Chair from Mudshake – which is the latest group gift. The +mudshake+ group is free to join & the chair can be found in notices. The textures on this chair are fab, and it comes with Iso’s usual great animated sits.

Mashooka
This weekend heralds the start of Diwali, so Mashooka have a few free gifts out in celebration. I found five – two jewellery sets, a male & female outfit and a poncho. The textures are gorgeous & the jewellery is really detailed. Some are shown below:

Magic of Oz
The fantastic Magic of Oz sim is having a hunt to mark it’s second “oziversary”. The sim itself is awesome & well worth a visit, even if you don’t like hunting! Silver slippers rez randomly over the sim, click them and they are yours. Wear them and they turn into witches hats (magic!) and tell you which store they are for. When you go to the store you just click the hat to get your prize. It’s not as complicated as it sounds, and took me around an hour to get pretty much all of the gifts – and there are quite a lot of them. All the items in this post are hunt prizes, but there are others that I wasn’t able to feature. The hunt finishes on Sunday (18th October) so get looking for those slippers….

No Need for Guys to Feel Neglected….
These are the fabulous hunt prizes for guys at Lois’s shop, LD Menswear. She is participating in two hunts, the Lemania Nightmare Hunt – where you need to collect brooms and the Make Him Over hunt. MHO is a hunt designed for guys, so do check it out – you are looking for the male symbol in participating stores. MHO starts tomorrow and runs for a month. There is a group (search on Make Him Over) for this hunt which will give updates throughout the hunt. Thanks Lois for the sneak preview!
These two outfits are in the Nightmare… prize – a formal suit with shirt & underpants and a casual outfit comprising ripped jeans and a leather waistcoat/vest with a fab graphic on the back.
This suit is Lois’ MHO prize – a great light blue lounge suit with shirt, waistcoat & jacket all in different layers. Sorzun (our model) apologises for his shoes – he’s hoping to find some decent ones on the hunt….

Likka Britain
Both girls wear free outfits from Likka*House – the white gown is a second anniversary present and the blue dress is a lucky board gift. There is also a lovely white alice dress available for a 20 minute camp.

Hallowe’en Treats
Lots of Hallowe’en goodies can be found on the grid. All these items were either free or L$1

Feel Beautiful for free
YourSkin YourShape have opened on a new sim (feel beautiful). To celebrate they have some gorgeous freebies out for group members until 10th October. The group is free to join – so become a member and head on over. Find it in search or through my profile. There are two gifts, one is the “Sharon” skin & shape. This comes with hairbase skin option and skirt-shape. The other is the Illettes bag, skulpted toe shoe and matching belt. I am wearing all except the belt in the pic.
The dress is this month’s group gift from Baiastice. This is a free-to-join group, but you need to send a notecard to Sissy Pessoa to be added to it. Sissy is a very talenteed designer of clothes & skins and is very generous to her group members.

The Skin Trade
This post focuses on skins! You may know there is currently a Skin & Shape Expo taking place until 10th October. There are loads of designers showcasing some gorgeous new creations there. Quite a few have freebies/dollarbies available too. However if you do go, be ready for some serious lag – deprim as much as possible, your video card will thank you for it….. Links for dollarbies are to the Expo as these skins are only available there at present.
First up – Lily skin L$0 from Exodi at the expo. This gift includes four skin tones with dark & light brow options, as well as some prim eyelashes. Hair – Sloane from Tousled – L$40 for a pack of 3 (hurry though, pre-moving sale). Eyes – autumn crocus from Poetic Colors - not free.
Another freebie from the Expo – the Megan skin from Rockberry. The gorgeous skin has amazing detail, and comes in four tones. Eyes, not free – autumn indian summer from Poetic Colors (as before). Hair not free, Wendy in cocoa from Truth
Final expo freebie – Braelyn from [the oBscene]. Box includes 8 versions of this skin and four of a paler skin with nosebleed & cut throat options! Eyes & hair as before.
This skin is not from the expo, but the current group gift from Belleza. They make some of the best skins on the grid & the detail is superb. This skin is called Jesse and the gift includes two skin tones both with hairbase and enhanced cleavage options. You have to pay L$250 to join the group, but (imo) it’s worthwhile. The gifts alternate between male and female skins/shapes. There is also a dollarbie skin available for both males & females just inside the store door.
